Meeting location: Northwood Bluffs parking area. @ locked gate @ terminus of Northwood Road via Jinglepot Road, Kilpatrick, Jameson & then Northwood. This is a public area with homes & driveways close by. Please be courteous.
Meeting time: 10:00hr Saturday 22nd September.
Description: Two days of climbing at Mt Benson with opportunity to check out several of the established Outcrops in the area. Sport, Trad & T/R, 5.6 and up, some multi pitch routes.
Skills Needed: Belay on lead and TR, Anchor building and cleaning, Rappelling with an extended device & prussic back up.
Gear Needed: HELMET, harness, PAS, rock shoes, belay device, Prussic, anchor building gear, ropes 70m an advantage, draws, slings carabiners and trad gear of choice.
Max Participants: max participants 12. Novice climbers welcome with 1:1 mentor.
Admin: I will be uncontactable until the 18th so please save questions until then. I plan on camping in the Nanaimo area, no camp ground booked at this stage. Trip subject to weather.
