The goal of the ACC-VI newcomers youth program is to help introduce new immigrants and refugees to natural places and feel a connection to their new home on beautiful Vancouver Island.
Working closely with the InterCultural Association of Victoria, the program plans trips for youth to explore natural locations and learn some basic outdoor skills. Trips have been organized to hike on Pkols (Mt Douglas) and snowshoe in Strathcona Park.
