Date: Sep 29, 2017 to Oct 01, 2017

Time: All Day

Category: Mountaineering

Objective:  Triple Peak: Northwest Peaks via Scramblers Route

Contact:  Natasha Salway (Trip Leader) Colin Mann (Co-Leader)

Meeting location: Triple Peak trailhead up Marion Main

Meeting time: TBD (see description for details)

Description: There are a couple of options for this trip.  It will depend largely on the weather.  Option 1: Meet and camp on Friday night (7:00pm) at the trailhead of Triple Peak, up the Marion Main.  Saturday will be an early start of no later 6am.  Single day push up to Scramblers Route, climb and then descend back to cars. (Option to sleep at the cars again or drive out right away).  Option 2: Same as 1, but we would meet and camp at the trailhead on Saturday night and do a single day climb on Sunday, drive out same day.  Option 3: If weather is stunning, we could camp at trailhead on Friday night, then camp Saturday night up close to the lake and have climbing options on either Saturday or Sunday.  Return home Sunday night.  Final decision will be made close to the date when we have a better idea about weather.

Skills Needed: Confident on class 4 scrambling with some exposure.  May involve some short low 5th climbing moves.  Good overall fitness for hiking and scrambling is recommended.

Gear Needed:  Helmet, harness, belay/repel device, general hiking gear, study boots, overnight camping gear that will work for camping up in alpine setting (for option 3).

Max Participants: 4 participants
