Save the date for Mountain Voices: A Celebration and a Call to Action
The Thursday Feb 12th slide show (7 – 9:30pm) is going to be something a bit different than usual. First of all it will be held in the MacPherson Library at UVic. There will be lots of images and lots of stories, but the format will be a panel discussion with plenty of space for audience participation.
The event will be jointly hosted by UVic’s Kula – Library Futures Academy, the Alpine Club of Canada Vancouver Island Section, and the UVic School of Environmental Studies. Expect an engaging, image-rich evening of lively discussion centred on mountains, why they matter to us, and how we can turn mountain awareness into mountain advocacy and action.
