“My Ascent of Rumdoodle” or “A hike down Memory Lane, my first mountain climb and snapshots of outdoor adventuring on three continents”.  Lyle Young

Lyle’s first outdoor pursuits began in the tadpole filled ditches outside his family home on the slopes of North Vancouver.  Before long he looked up and then followed his gaze, notching his first mountain adventure.

Join Lyle as he shares pictures and stories of his evolution as a lover of wild spaces.  Lyle claims no first ascents or geographic discoveries and many will be familiar with places that he has visited and enjoyed.   Lyle hopes that his images will evoke special memories of your own adventures in perhaps these same, as well as other beautiful places.

Although Lyle has travelled extensively, he has found that the opportunities presented in our collective backyard from sea to sky, very worthy of exploration for beauty, historic interest and challenge, as well.  Join us for an evening of far reaching and local images celebrating our outdoor world.

(Note: Chic Scott was unable to travel to Victoria as planned for this date. We are grateful to Lyle Young for bringing forward his planned presentation to this date.)

Swan Lake Nature House doors open 7:00pm for half an hour of chatting with friends & newcomers.  Coffee, tea & snacks by donation before the 7:30 announcements and Lyle’s presentation.  Google maps location  https://maps.app.goo.gl/MU911FsHW9LF2XnM7
