This full day hike to Quimper, Thunderbird and East and West Ramparts (Sooke Hills) offers some of the best views in the Capital Region, as well as a seldom visited waterfall. Just for fun, let’s see how many different wildflower species we can find along the route!

The trip, as planned, is approximately 18 km with over 1000m of elevation gain. Some steep slopes may require the use of hands. There will also be some bushwhacking and travel on rough/unmarked trails.

Required gear: hiking boots with good ankle support, extra layers, sunhat/cap, at least 2 litres of water, lunch, snacks, 10 essentials. Hiking poles are strongly recommended.

Meet at Harbourview Road parking lot at 8:20am for an 8:30am departure. Carpooling may be available.

No dogs please.
