Meeting location: Mt Adder trail cabin (will provide map and GPS location)

Meeting time: Oct 04 2019 Friday night

Description:

Mt Adder is not far from 5040. Following highway 4, it’s on the way to Toffino, pass Port Alberni and not far after Sproat Lake. I will send map and further details the last week. Driving to the trailhead may take around 4 hours from Victoria. https://www.google.com/maps/@49.2595858,-125.3307445,13.75z

The trail is 5 km one way. 700 meters elevation gain from the trail head. The trail is moderately difficult. It’s steep to climb up to the ridge, but not technical. Hiking time should be about 6 – 8 hours for the round trip.

Trip leaders are planning to drive to the cabin close to trail head on Friday. We can either meet at the trailhead 9am on Saturday or stay at the cabin with us.

We will head back on Saturday after the hike.

You will need a high clearance vehicle. I haven’t been there, but it seems the logging road isn’t for city cars.
