This is an invitation for LGBTQ2+ folks (and our friends, family and partners) to try a trip with the Alpine Club of Canada. Special hikes like this only happen a few times a year, so don’t miss out!

Let’s hike up Mt. Braden in the Sooke Hills (near Langford). It’s about 10km round trip and 400m elevation gain.

The hike should take us about 5 hours. We will stop for a quick break about once per hour. And we will have a 30-minute lunch break at the top.

About half of the trail is on wide, flat old logging roads. The other half of the trail is narrow, rocky, steep and a bit slippery at times. You should be in good physical condition.

Carpooling from downtown Victoria (and potentially other areas) will be arranged.

Dogs are allowed.

Gear needed: Sturdy footwear, warm clothing, rain jacket. Please bring as many of the 10 essentials as you can.
