Description:
Kid friendly hike to Hišimy̓awiƛ. All welcome but priority will be given to families.
Meeting location: Cobalt Lake trailhead
Families might move at different paces, but the general itinerary is:
7am leave Victoria
12pm Arrive at trailhead and have lunch
1pm Start hiking
4pm arrive at the hut (this depends on the group)
Skill Level This is a 3.5km hike one way over steep, rocky terrain. The trail is challenging but can be completed by almost anyone, given enough time, there is more information about the trail and access on the website: https://accvi.ca/5040-peak-hut/hut-access/
Equipment: Warm clothing, hiking shoes or boots, rain gear, your own food for the weekend, sleeping bag and personal overnight needs.
Cost: We will share the cost of the hut booking fee for two nights. Kids are half price for the hut.
