This remote region has one of the lowest human populations on the planet. Its rugged landscape includes the southern part of the Andes mountain range, with countless glaciers, lakes, fjords and turbulent rivers, alongside arid steppe and desert. Its weather system is a story of its own.

ACC VI section members Alcina, Catrin, Erich, Josh and Martin recently swopped much of Victoria’s winter for Patagonia’s summer months. Their adventures included hiking and backpacking in iconic parks, and a month-long cycle trip through southern Chile. Come and hear their stories and join us for a virtual journey through this  unique and beautiful land.

We get to enjoy it at Esquimalt Gorge Pavilion. 1070 Tillicum Road, Esquimalt.  Google Maps link:  https://maps.app.goo.gl/V3ajBAsh5JpKxVYr6

All are welcome – bring your family and friends. Doors open 6:45 pm for social time with friends and new folk. The  presentation will start at 7:30.  Tea, coffee & snacks by donation.  For our up Island friends and those unable to attend in person, we’ll send a Zoom link a couple of days before.
