Meeting location  Parking lot 9km down Marion Main at trailhead. 
Description  Families might move at different paces, but the general itinerary is: 

Saturday:  

  • 12pm Arrive at the Cobalt Lake trailhead and have lunch 
  • 1pm Start hiking 
  • 5pm arrive at the hut (depending on the group) 

Sunday and Monday: 

  • Climb, hike to the summit, explore and enjoy the area 

Tuesday: 

  • 8am Breakfast and clean-up 
  • 10am Start the hike down 
  • 3pm Arrive at parking lot (depending on the group) 
Skill Level  B2 

This is a 3.5km hike one-way over steep, rocky terrain. The trail is challenging, there is more information about the trail and access on the website: https://accvi.ca/5040-peak-hut/hut-access/ 
Equipment Requirements  Warm clothing, hiking shoes or boots, rain gear, your own food for the weekend, sleeping bag and personal overnight needs.
