Details: Meet at Whisky Creek Gas Station. The goal will be to get as high as possible on logging roads and find a nice scenic track in non-avalanche terrain, as well as to try out gear in preparation of the coming snow camping trip.
Gear: Please bring the following:
– Day pack
– Insulated pants and jacket or layers with rain gear, gloves, hat
– Lunch and drink (we typically pack items to snack on as opposed to a big sandwich, this makes it easier to fuel up during quick breaks)
– Sunglasses or goggles
– Spare gloves and socks
– Handwarmers
– Snow shoes (the Club has a number for rent, email: ) or touring skis
– Ski poles
