Trip Details:
This is a nice little loop through the Sooke Hills on booted trails. We will start from the Veitch Creek trail first up to corner hill then along the ridge to Crow’s nest. We will then come down to Ayume Creek trail and then summit Ragged Mountain before coming down the connector trail and back to the parking lot. We will stop at the summits to enjoy the views and a longer break for lunch at either Crow’s nest or Ragged.
Expect typical Sooke Hills trails conditions. Some down trees and overgrown bushes that may be wet. There is nothing very technical on this route.
Time will depend on the group’s pace but expect at least 5 hours. Bring enough food and water to be out all day.
Current forecast if for a sunny dry spell but if the forecast changes to very windy and rainy, I will reschedule.
Capable dogs are welcome on this hike.
