August 5th Update: Currently there is a wildfire burning across Cameron Lake on Wesley Ridge and the whole area is closed temporarily – including the meet up area and CPR trail. However, the fire is unlikely to impact the trail itself (it’s on the other side of the lake and there’s a highway between the lake and trail). We were obviously not expecting a wildfire in the area when we planned this trip, and are monitoring the situation closely. We are optimistic that the situation will improve in the next week or so, and that a month from now, it will be safe to hike in the area.
