Quadra Island offers a great selection of sport routes (mostly 5.7 – 5.10+), with some areas available for top-rope and easier trad climbs. We will meet up on Friday, April 19, for the first night of camping then climb Saturday, Sunday and Monday. We will share a potluck dinner one evening if folks are interested. Let’s cross our fingers for sunshine!

We will be camping at Taku Resort. I have campsites reserved for all of us. This is deluxe camping with bathrooms and hot showers. The resort is located on the water and they have bikes, kayaks and paddle boards to rent. Participants will e-transfer me their share of the camping fees 2 weeks before the trip. (Free backcountry camping at Beaver Lake is currently unavailable due to logging in the area.)

Participants: 8 participants maximum

Skills Needed: Ability to belay (on top rope at minimum). Comfort with building top-rope anchors. The ability to safely and independently manage yourself at the crags.

Gear Needed: Harness, belay/rappel device, rappel back-up, personal safety, helmet and personal camping gear. A Quadra Island climbing guide won’t hurt either.

Cost: Your share of camping costs ($20-35, depending on the number of participants)
