In 1996 a formal agreement was reached with the township of Esquimalt to allow rock climbing at Fleming beach. The South Island Climbers Association is hosting a party to celebrate our unique urban crag, and wants us to join them in celebrating. Our own members, like Rick Johnson, were instrumental in seeing the crag stay open and this is a great opportunity for our community to come together as a whole. There’ll be a little bit of climbing as well as a free lunch.
