Corner Hill (389m), Dinosaur Ridge West (420m), Ragged Mountain (578m), and Pinnacle Peak (456m) are located in the Sooke Hills Wilderness Park. This 18-21 km hike will be 7-8.5 hours long, depending on whether we have the energy and time to include Pinnacle Peak.
We will hike at a moderate pace. Trails vary from well-maintained to rough and ‘route like,’ with some steep and slippery sections. Some bushwhacking is involved.
We will be departing the Sooke Road trailhead (3878 Sooke Rd) at at 8:00am sharp. Please arrive no later than 7:50am so that others are not waiting. This hike may be shortened if there is heavy or continuous rain.
Hiking boots with ankle support and good tread are necessary for this hike. Hiking poles are strongly recommended. Bring water/hot drink, snacks and a lunch, rain gear, an extra layer of clothing, and a headlamp or flashlight.
