This is a social hike for LGBTQ+ folks and our family, partners and/or friends.
New and future Alpine Club members are welcome. You can attend two day trips before you join the club.
We will meet at 9:30 am in the Aylard Farms parking lot in East Sooke. We will do our best to organize carpooling from Victoria over email.
The rough plan is to hike towards Beechey Head along the Coast Trail and then head back along the interior trail. (See map.) We will break for lunch somewhere with a view.
This hike is mostly trails with gentle slopes. Some parts include steep rock steps, which can be slippery at times.
We should take about 4-5 hours, depending on the group’s speed.
What to bring: Sturdy footwear. Raincoat. A day pack with food, water, extra clothes, and as many of the 10 essentials as you can bring.
