Alpine Club of Canada Policy on Minors
The National body of the Alpine Club of Canada has developed a new Minors
Policy. The purpose of the ACC Minors Policy is to ensure that members and
volunteers follow industry best practices when recreating with minors and
protect themselves and the ACC from third party liability risk. The complete

For ACCVI Members:
- The Criminal Records Check is included in a Vulnerable Sector Check
and is free with a letter from our national club at any Police station. To

to the Vulnerable Sector check letter here ) . - Please use the attached Minors Policy Handbook to post the risks and
hazards on your trip posting ahead of registration - This policy applies only to sanctioned ACC trips. Trips that are not club
trips are not covered by this policy and are not covered by ACC
insurance. - The First aid certification that is mentioned is a basic first aid course.
The ACCVI will cover the cost of those Minors leaders that will take the
