Distance 12 km with approximately 800m of total elevation gain.
Our route takes us along the Veitch Carriageway to the Amigos (Alan and Tony), up Mount Braden Plateau trail to the Peak, then down via Castle.
Some steep descents where hands might be needed. We will hike at a leisurely to moderate pace with stops to admire and identify wildflowers.
Expect to be out for about 6 hours.

Hiking poles are strongly recommended. Bring sunscreen, raingear, an extra layer, at least a litre of water or hot drink (two litres recommended), snacks and a lunch.
