*Wild Women trips are welcoming and inclusive of trans and non-binary people.

Description: Come join us for an ascent of Rugged Mountain via the Walsh-Facer-Hutchinson Route. Given recent road deactivations, we will be mostly bushwalking for the approach and then camping at Nathan Col for two nights. The second day we will attempt the WFH route, descend the same, and spend a second night on Nathan Col. We will break camp early the third day, hike back to the vehicles, drive to Nomash access, then hike up and camp at the base of the Nomash slab. It will be about 1 to 2 hours hike in to the slab from where we park.  There are multiple options for sport climbing here, from the Wapiti Mainline (14 pitches mostly 5.6 to 5.8, but up to 5.11a) to the Mainline Lite (first 6 pitches of the Mainline, 5.6 to 5.8) to the Waipti Mainline with Shake n Bake finish (13 pitches, first 10 shared with Mainline, with the last 3 pitches 5.9 to 5.10a). Descent will be a mixture of rappelling and bushwhacking. Please note the bonus trip to Nomash is optional.
