Meeting location: Triple Peak trailhead, Marion Main. Chris will explain how to get there if you do not know.
Meeting time: 8-9pm on Friday June 15th.
Description: Meet at Triple Peak trailhead on Friday night and camp there. At 6:30am, begin ascent to Triple Peak via North Ridge or South East Ridge depending on group preference. Round trip distance is approx. 9km with about 1000m of elevation gain. Trip duration should be about 8-12 hours depending on speed of group. Trip to be postponed if weather is not suitable.
Skills Needed: Experience travelling on steep snow, knowledge of ice-axe self-arrest,
confidence in low 5th class rock climbing and un-roped scrambling required.
Gear Needed: Boots, crampons, ice-axe, climbing harness, helmet, backpack, belay device, 2 slings, carabiners, weather appropriate clothing, and snacks. If someone has an In-Reach to bring, that would be great!
