Join Mike Whitney and Peggy Taylor (co-leaders) on a mystery ramble in the Sooke Hills taking in one or two lakes (Shields and Grassie). We will meet at 9 AM (with a view to leaving shortly thereafter) at the Charters River on Sooke River Road and expect the hike to take 7 or 8 hours. Sometimes swimming can break out at the oddest time of year….so bring a towel if you feel so moved! There will of course be some high points/hills along the way. Could go to dark so be prepared with a headlamp as well, food, water, the layers you need and a good sense of adventure.
