RESPECT THE MOUNTAINS DAY – June 15/ 2019 is a Alpine Club of Canada, National UIAA Day with our 24 sections across Canada participating. Come on up to Mount Washington Alpine Resort on their Summer Opening Day, between 11-4 and help clean up our mountain environment and hear some expert talks each hour on VI Marmot Recovery; Mountain Birds and Wildlife; Plastic Pollution – Alpine to Ocean; Ways to “Leave No Trace” and more. We need people to man our display and others to help cleanup (prizes for garbage pickers donated by MEC) . Sponsored by UIAA and MEC. All help appreciated, contact, Christine Fordham to register.
