Description:

Hike for LGBTQ+ folks and our family/partners and/or friends.

Meet at The Mailboxes at 9:30 (approximately 30 min drive from Victoria) and hike for 3 to 5 hours. If you haven’t explored the Sooke Hills yet, this is an excellent intro! If the sky is willing, there will be some nice views of the Olympic Mountains and Victoria.

We will break about every 30 minutes and stop for lunch sometime between 11 and 12 noon. I may adjust objective depending on group speed. I can organize car pooling if people email me if they need or have a ride to share.

No alcohol, drugs or dogs.

Skills Needed: There will be some steep sections going up and down and trail sections where trees have fallen across the trail (so you might have to climb under or over them).

Gear Needed: sturdy footwear, raincoat, daypack with food, water, extra clothes and as many of the 10 essentials as you can bring, maybe hiking poles if you use them.

Max Participants: 8
