Description:
Beginners are welcome. This trip is relatively easy and relaxed. We will have time to enjoy the surroundings and the dramatic views.
We will be meeting at the trailhead at 1:00pm on Saturday. The trail is about 10k one way. The overall elevation gain is 600m. We are camping at the first camp ground. It is at around 6k.
We will check out the Landslide Lake and the higher lake on Saturday. Depends on the interest of the party, we may try to scramble up the ridge of Mt Colonel Foster on the west of the lake.
Please make sure you have purchased 2 nights of Strathcona Backcountry camping permit for the trip.
I will send out a group email for carpooling.
