ACC Youth Mt.Mariner outing, C3, a Sea to Sky outing (12 and older)
IMPORTANT NOTE
The trip will most likely be a 3 night outing during the period of June 28 – July 8 with the final timing adjusted to current conditions.
Details: Quintessential Vancouver Island back country experience – a Sea to Sky outing on Mt. Mariner. Water taxi access to/from Tofino to Bedwell Sound. With mountain bikes we will travel the first 6 plus kilometers to the trail head of the Bedwell lake trail. From there we will use the Bedwell lake trail to gain the Noble creek trail (a historic mining trail) and follow this into the alpine terrain of Mt.Mariner. The trip will most likely be a 3 night outing with the final timing adjusted to current conditions. Major stoke, good fitness, glacier travel and scrambling experience a must.
A $ 1000 grant received by the ACC Memorial Youth Grant will help offset transportation costs. Attending the Steep Snow workshop (or equivalent) on May 25-26 is a prerequisite for this trip.
