ACCVI’s Kids and Youth Program has had a year filled with adventure in 2018. Three ski trips filled winter. In the spring the group transitioned to climbing, but did so on skis by skinning up to the base of South Early Winters Spire in Washington State. The summer comprised some hikes, and a climbing camp, but the highlight was the Dugong Peak Section Camp. So far this fall it has participated in two hut work parties. Members and leaders of the program will relate our tales from some of these adventures.
The Kids and Youth Program would like to acknowledge and thank the ACCVI for its support, including a Youth Grant from the Memorial Fund to travel to Washington State and bursaries for all the kids attending Family Week of the Section Camp.
Members please feel free to bring your friends and family….all are welcome!
Event is held at Swan Lake Nature House (3873 Swan Lake Road). Venue opens at 7 PM, slideshow starts at 7:30 PM. Tea and cookies by donation.
