Rating: day trip snowshoeing B1/C1 (strenuous due to winter season & local climate, some steeper sections 7- 8 hours incl. warm-up breaks, some steeper sections, trails)
Please note: it is winter time and it is a remote area, this makes it extra important to be fit, injury free and to bring the proper gear.
Details: a day trip on snowshoes in the beautiful alpine area of the Kludahk. Last time I was there in the snow it was a fairy tail scenery. Group size will depend on available transport; we will be driving well-maintained logging roads, due to weather and some uphill, 4WD is required. Further details will be sent by e-mail to participants; definitive route depends on weather, fitness and group consensus.
Attitude: today is my favourite day.
Gear: snowshoes, poles, good hiking boots, make sure you bring what is needed to stay dry, warm, well-fed (a warm drink) and bring a daypack with the other 10 essentials. Please note: it can be very (humid) cold up there, make sure you have a very good (breathing, waterproof) shell. Bringing an extra set of clothes (in a dry bag) is recommended due to the humid conditions. We take breaks in Tea Hut and Tower Cabin (wood stove available).
